Description:

Unfortunately, the Github root certificate has been changed (without communication from Github). As a consequence, the boards with OTA features that are using versions before this commit can't be updated with the Home Assistant/WebUI update function anymore.

Note that the boards can still be updated by:

  • USB Serial
  • LAN OTA
  • WiFi Manager portal OTA
  • MQTT command pointing to an HTTP firmware (non-recommended)

I may enrich this list in the future with other possibilities.

This PR enables us to point to another server, ota.openmqttgateway.com,, that we manage instead of being Github-dependent.

Checklist:

  • The pull request is done against the latest development branch
  • Only one feature/fix was added per PR and the code change compiles without warnings
  • I accept the DCO.
