screen not loading when switching workspaces in i3wm

Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it

zed is not rendered when switching from full screen(some other application) to a tiled layout in i3wm( haven't tested for other tiling window managers ) or when switching from a different workspace to the one with a zed instance. once focus is moved to the editor( using cursor or keyboard ), I can view the screen

Zed: v0.154.0 (Zed Dev 6f337de)
OS: Linux X11 arch unknown
Memory: 15.3 GiB
Architecture: x86_64
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU || NVIDIA || 560.35.03

after going from fullscreen mode to a tiled layout, zed which is on the right side is not rendered

is there a debug mode that would produce some kind of a log? maybe that might point to the place this bug is arising from. I have the developer version.
