Welcome to the Escher wiki!

The vision for Escher

In systems biology, datasets are too large for traditional static plots. Each data mining excursion would benefit from a slightly different visualization approach. In the past couple years, with the advent of simple, modularized, web-based visualization tools, it has become possible to design specific and interactive visualizations for any application. The goal of this project is to collect a set of such interactive plots, maps, graphs, dashboards, and images.

The first tool available as part of visbio is a web-based viewer and builder for maps derived from the SimPheny metabolic mapping tool.

This is a work in progress, and any input or help is appreciated. Feel free to make pull requests. All the work here is available under the MIT licence.
