Currently Postgres checks whether a tablespace is empty by looking through the directory contents of the location associated with the tablespace. This will not be applicable for YB clusters where location is not a directory but a cloud placement policy.
Thus, when tables or indexes are associated with a Tablespace, for YB clusters, there should be an additional record in pg_depends. This dependency should be checked while trying to drop tablespaces.
