Youtube seems to be throttling youtube-dl to about 64 KB/sec. For me it does it for every video I try to download now so youtube-dl has become completely useless for me.

i use youtube-dl to discord bot
discord bot play the music but It's very slow I don't use it

Try https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp, the problem is mostly gone with it.
