What should a selector actually match?

• Maybe just matching sub-elements?

Example: given the following:

- foo
  - fizz
  - buzz
    - foobear

... what should - foo match?

1. The top-level foo and all its descendants?

   - foo
      - fizz
      - buzz
        - foobear

2. The top-level foo, its matching descendants, and all in betweens?

   - foo
      - buzz
        - foobear

3. Something else?

how do we want to handle list seletors (and maybe others)?

Let's say you have:

• top
  • nested

If you search for - nested, I'm pretty sure you'll get the top-level item, since its plaintext will include nested. You shouldn't.

On the other hand, if you had:

• top

  nested

Then - nested should give you that top item.

I need to think a bit about how I want to do this!
