And it doesnt seem like you have https enabled for relay.s3auth.com?

It's in the plan (see #8). I can expedite implementation of https, if it's critical for you..

I'm still just evaluating - nothing is settled. Passwords in "clear" text has always been a bad idea and since firesheep got mainstream http with http basic auth has been even worse

I totally agree. Should not be difficult to implement, but will take a few hours. Let me know if you really need s3auth and I'll implement HTTPS.
