The viewer should automatically expand the time axis to cover all contributing data sources including all data cubes and all added time-series from imported places. Currently, the selected data cube provides the context, including the time range used in time-series charts. See also #156.
"If the time of of the insitu data is not overlapping with the datacube, it does not show up in the timeseries - it would be nice, if the timeseries graph would expand to include also the time series of the insitu data."
