Storybook has released a new version (v8.0.0) and we are currently on 6.x

https://storybook.js.org/releases/8.0/

Describe the improvement

Bump the version to v8 when and also refactor the code to match the latest version removing redundant files.

Updated the issue since the latest version of storybook is v8.
This issue will be a part of the Hacktoberfest 2024 program.
