Following the new $ phing release commands, it would be great if there was a $ phing wp-release command that would do the following in a lite release variation:

  • Clone the SVN repository at WordPress.org.
  • Add a new tag for the release.
  • Update the trunk and thus the stable tag.
  • Commit changes, pushing back to WordPress.org.
