Can you guys introduce a method that allows us to fetch just the 'me' contact? This can be a really useful way to get some of the user's information and use it for e.g. pre-filling forms.

I see there is a method for this on iOS. I have no idea how to implement on Android. If you’d like to work on a PR, I can guide you to the iOS implementation and finally accept. But Android needs impl too.

I would love to, but I'm afraid that's beyond my capabilities. Perhaps this can help—it's how a competing package pulls the 'Me' info on Android. But I would strongly prefer to not use a different package just to get the me-card.

I agree.
I am not sure we will proceed here. Personally, I no longer maintain this repo actively. I don't mind helping on the iOS side, but I need Android and JS commitment that I don't we have right now.

As I said, pull requests/contributions are welcome.
