Hello, I would like to use this so I can track our MacBooks when we move them around the house (with Home Assistant.) I'm on MacOS 13.3.1 and getting this crash when I start it:

$ mbeacon -major 0 -minor 0
Abort trap: 6

Thanks!

@ndbroadbent Thank you for the feedback.
But I couldn't reproduce Abort trap: 6. If you have more information, please tell me in detail.

My env:

  • Mac Studio 2022
  • Apple M1 Max
  • macOS Ventura 13.5 Beta (22G5038d)

I ran into the same issue. I had just brew-installed mbeacon and was using iTerm as my terminal. However, when I switched to the MacOS pre-installed Terminal I was prompted for the Bluetooth permission and able to run the command successfully.

FWIW, in Privacy & Security, I did not see an obvious way to add iTerm to the Bluetooth permissions.
