Vue error handler not capturing async watcher handler

I have an async watcher handler that throws an error. But it is not being captured by Vue.

I found an old issue with the same problem.

Unless I'm missing something, f2009@c6c6d79 doesn't seem to account for async watcher callbacks. JSFiddle
