In Germany, the number of wind turbines with built-in FLARM transponders is increasing. These are currently displayed simply as an unidentified aircraft. You get an airplane as a marker accordingly. In my opinion, it would be nicer to integrate a new aircraft type "WINDMILL" in the VRS and to symbolize it with a marker accordingly.
For example, there are various locations around Magdeburg and Leipzig.

There is already support for the fake -TWR model type code. That shows up as a tower icon rather than a turbine icon, but the intention is that it covers all tall stationary structures that transmit ADSB messages.

You can enter the ICAO codes for the towers / turbines on the SDM site. If you have the latest preview installed then the tower's aircraft details will have a link to the editor, otherwise you can go here and start a new batch:

https://sdm.virtualradarserver.co.uk/Edit/Aircraft

It's up to you how you fill the details in but I would suggest:

ICAO: The wind turbine's ICAO code
Registration: Leave empty
Model Type: -TWR
Manufacturer: Leave empty
Model: Wind turbine

You can leave the rest blank.

The tower icons should show up in VRS around 24-48 hours after your batch has been approved and added to the database.
