I have recently set up a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with the official 7" touchscreen to make an ambient music player based on Volumio with the touchscreen plugin. I would find very useful in this situation to have a screen locking feature on the "now playing" menu, with a slider to unlock. It could be triggered either automatically through an idle timeout, or manually with a lock icon.
I have posted this request in the plugins repo : volumio/volumio-plugins#448
But @gvolt told me that it is must be a modification to be done in the global UI instead.
What do you think ?
