Pre-Release

Release

  • Follow the release instructions for release candidates: here
  • On the Vitess website repository, create a v16.0 directory and update the sidebar.
  • On website docs menu, change v15.0 from Development -> Release Candidate. Along with that add (Stable) to v12.0
  • Merge the 15.0.0 release notes on main.
  • Backport to: release-15.0 label and make sure backport bot handles it
  • Update main to use the new v16.0.0-SNAPSHOT version increment.
  • Release the operator.
  • verify and update branch protection rules on release-15.0
