Now that requests do not rely on a roundtrip via a user-editable text field, in principle it would be possible to store the origin of a request (e.g. which roulette it came from), so people couldn't cheat and claim #ProRoulette when they hadn't used it. This could be surfaced by a badge on the icon, similar to charity supporters and birthdays.

Other related ideas:

  • How many times did you spin hipster roulette before requesting something?
  • This could be extended to, e.g. was the request from the page for a particular anime, artist or composer?
