How to update the next.conifg.js to support compiling ts file to output public folder

Hi there,

I am trying to find a way on service-worker compile and dynamic static resource generation for next.js.

for example, i want to build /service-worker/index.ts to build/sw.js.
Add i've tried this config in next.config.js:

module.exports = {
  webpack: (config, { buildId, dev, isServer, defaultLoaders, webpack }) => {
    return {
      ...config,
      entry: async () => ({
        ...(await config.entry()),
        sw: "./service-worker/index.ts",
      }),
    };
  },
};

But the ouput sw file path is build/_next/static/chunks/sw-e4a38a9f20260809.js, which is under folder build/_next/static/chunks and the file name is within the hash code. And i'm stuck here.

Do you have any idea on how to do this? I would be very greatful.

Use the new route handler in /app.

Use it to craft any route like /sitemap.xml, /robots.txt and /sw.js.

Route handlers, just like normal app directory pages, are SSG by default.
