The command bar is a way to more easily change Skip Silence's settings: Instead of using the Skip Silence popup, you can instead use simple keyboard shortcuts.
After activating "Skip Silence" (Tip: You can use Ctrl + Shift + S
or CMD + Shift + S
on Mac) you will see a small icon in the bottom right hand corner - that is the collapsed command bar. You can click the icon or use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Shift + S
(Or Option + Shift + S
on Mac) to open the full command bar.
The command bar will now listen for you to use one of the shortcuts to change settings. You can use these shortcuts to modify Skip Silence's settings:
- Arrow Up: Increase the playback speed
- Arrow Down: Decrease the playback speed
- Shift + Arrow Up: Increase the silence speed
- Shift + Arrow Down: Decrease the silence speed
- Arrow right: Increase the volume threshold
- Arrow left: Decrease the volume threshold
