I have a host with two usb optical mouses. When I connect one of them directly to the guest vm, the host mouse works and the guest mouse work inside the vm but the cursor does not follow it and stay with the host mouse position even if the mouse leave the window (as shown in the video below). I do not know if this is a issue with UTM, QEMU or SPICE so I post it here. The closest issue I found is #2628 but it is closed and might be unrelated.

Configuration

  • UTM Version: Version 4.0.9 (68)
  • macOS Version: 12.6
  • Mac Chip (Intel, M1, ...): Apple Silicon M1 Max
  • OS : Debian 11 (Xfce)

Crash log
No crash

Yes, would be nice to have availability to render the cursor direct by client system. Maybe an option in VM settings?

Why using USB mouse directly? I would use it, to have speed, acceleration and scroll-direction(mouse-wheel) independent from Mac/host-system.
