Follow-up to a chat in dm's:

…discussion on why we do not write the compiler name down in the WASM blob, why providing mappings between the metadata and the binary is not a problem we want to solve directly in the lang etc.. 😁 maybe this is something for the FAQ

IIRC you also wanted to add a point about "Why is the metadata not on-chain?".
