Does anyone else have these bugs?
Execution of task "Execute console commands (scheduler)" failed with the following message: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: geolite.maxmind.com (see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)

Same Problem for me (10.4.12). Also I would like to just use the http-accept-language feature and no geoip features so it would be nice if I would not need the DB at all :)

Same problem here. The URL geolite.maxmind.com is not available anymore, and to use the geolite2 you will need a free account to the service.
The new url will be like "https://download.maxmind.com/app/geoip_download?edition_id=GeoLite2-Country&license_key=YOUR_LICENCE_KEY&suffix=tar.gz" (where the licence key must be placed)

I’m using (10.4.6), even after changing the download link from maxmind to new one, as indicated by elKruso in the post above, changed to /typo3conf/ext/site_language_redirection/Classes/Command/UpdateDB.php; in https://download.maxmind.com/app/geoip_download?edition_id=GeoLite2-Country&license_key=YOUR_LICENCE_KEY&suffix=tar.gz , still the schedule task to download the database is returning error: Return value of "UrbanTrout\SiteLanguageRedirection\Command\UpdateDB::execute()" must be of the type int, "NULL" returned.
Is anybody here that can help us make this extension work?

If you don’t use the GEOIP feature then you also don’t need to set up the scheduler task.
