if there a --proxy parameter for fpm search?

when i run commands following the instructions at https://fpm.fortran-lang.org//tutorial/plugins.html and run fpm search or fpm search commandline I get a timeout error like this:

 ERROR:Registry download failed

i consider this is a http_proxy problem for i'm in china mainland, but i can't find a --proxy parameter for fpm search command.
