VTK (6.1.0)

- GENERAL:
  - set build type to "MinSizeRel"
  - enable VTK_WRAP_JAVA and VTK_JAVA_JOGL_COMPONENT
  - the JOGL stuff required for building is:
     JOGL_GLUE: .../gluegen-rt-2.0.2.jar
     JOGL_LIB:  .../jogl-all-2.0.2.jar

- Linux:
  - see HOWTO-VTK-Linux.txt to build it on Scientific Linux 5.10 for maximum
    downward compatibility. The rest below is obsolete.
  (- use Ubuntu 10.04 for "best" downward compatibility
  - download latest cmake, and add it to $PATH.
    - on 64-bit machines, make sure to install the i386 compatibility stuff,
      the easiest way is to "sudo apt-get install wine"
  - sudo apt-get install build-essential openjdk-6-jdk libgl1-mesa-dev)

- MacOS:
  - Compile on MacOS 10.7 (Lion)
  - run MacOS-reDLL.pl after compiling.

- Windows:
  - Compile with Visual C++ 2010
  - use Windows XP for 32-bit, Windows 7 for 64-bit.
