lets assume we are competent enough to manage our own security, and not use that as a vector for consideration.
What modifcations are going to have the most functional gain in terms of raw performance return by enabling / disabling them?
For example it seems the basic ones that I can see are;
Disabling Windows Defender / removing it completely
Disabling any elements of windows indexing / search [you should be using voidtools everything for this, it is 800x to 16,000x faster at searching with lower resource utilisation]
what else should we be doing? have you noticed anything that has a substantive effective on resource consumption, that you found disabling improved?
im hoping we can collectively share wisdom that ensures we can return our systems to something approximating reasonable performance once again.
