From the picture these boards look exactly like the uhppote boards:

Do you know if these are identical? Has anyone used the hardware from ali? As far as I found out they use the same management software. From wiegand.

Thank you.

Hi,

The link doesn't seem to go anywhere (may have expired?) - can you repost it and I'll take a look ?

Thanks :-) ...

From the pictures and description it looks like the identical board (just at about half the cost of Amazon). There is the possibility that it's an OEM'd version with custom firmware but (my opinion only) it's unlikely given that they use the same management software, the documentation is identical to the UHPPOTE board and also offer an SDK.

re. AliExpress. The boards I'm aware of have been sourced through the distributor's Amazon shop but the AliExpress board seems to have at least one very happy customer in the Netherlands.

I think it should work. I have bought a non-branded board (actually from before uhppote brand existed) that also looked identical and it works fine with this and the same software! Good find! I might pick a few up as well if you get it going. I also didn't see the "locker/lift" relay board thats available on AliExpress from uhppote (although its in the software that came with the boards)

re. get one/report back. Thanks, that would be awesome! I'll create a list of 'known good hardware' - ate least once there's more than one sample :-). And I'm happy to debug issues as they crop up..

@uhppoted I can confirm, it works 🥇

uhppote seams to be just a rebrand of these chinese wiegand controllers.

These controllers don't work, I head an old one and tried it, they don't have a web interface:

These controllers should all work:

That's great news!! Thanks for the update - I'll create a compatible hardware list on the main README.

re. uhppote/rebrand. Figures! I should probably have chosen a less brand specific name for this project .. bit late now though I guess.

Thank you! It looks like it implements the protocol to the older versions of the controllers - I'll pass it on to somebody who was asking about that recently.
