Simulator Configurability

What aspects of the simulator do we want to be configurable?

  • differing numbers and weights of objects
  • adjusting position of light source
  • weight of human part being assisted by robot

Relevance

We can use YAML files to allow our simulator to be configurable. Note I am not certain exactly what configurability is supported by gazebo but the examples listed above were supported by pybullet so I am guessing we will be able to add somewhat similar functionality with gazebo via our interface. See here for relevant documentation

Priority

Low: this is more of an add on if desired (extent of its capabilities will be discovered as we learn more about gazebo
