I was just wondering if there was actually a requirement for all the background-image: none in the css because there don't appear to be that many places that actually set a background-image to need to override it and set it as none.
Should these really be in bootstrap-theme.css rather than bootstrap.css if that is what the overrides are for?

The only places I can background-image being set are the progress bars and carousel controls.

These are required to "reset unusual Firefox-on-Android default style". See #8702 and necolas/normalize.css#214.
