In the tutorials it looks like you're click-dragging with the mouse to select text (and then delete it). Is that true? When I click-drag with my mouse, I get a string like [m 9$ (or similar) inserted for every pixel that my mouse moves.
Other mouse functions such as left clicking, right clicking, and double clicking seem to work fine. I'm on Linux Mint KDE running xsh through Konsole. Thanks.
