Image formatting guidelines

To ensure best results for all build types, images should conform to the following rules.

General

• JPG, Maximum Quality, 72 DPI
• PNG or GIF if the image requires a transparent background
• No greater than 4,000,000px area, with the maximum dimensions should be 2048px on an image's longest side

Naming conventions

Image names should not contain spaces or non-ASCII characters.

<project name>-<position in text>.jpg
<project name>-<position in text>.jpg

For example:

sample-project_chapter-1_image-name.jpg
sample-project_chapter-1_image-name.jpg

Cover image

The cover image follows the same rules as above. Our recommended size is 1600px × 2400px.
