A year ago, I pull requested a fix, I am still waiting for a release on RubyGems such that I can cleanup my Gemfile!

@cunknown, I've pushed v1.0.2. Let me know if it can resolve your issue.

$ gem search -ear gistyle
gistyle (1.0.2, 1.0.1, 1.0.0, 0.9.7, 0.9.6, 0.9.5, 0.9.4, 0.9.3)

Sorry, this project has not been maintained for a lone time. If you are willing to be the maintainer. I can grant you permissions. Just let me know.
