Error while adding adding image from gallery

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.press the menu button . Select add image . Select image from another source.
2. select gallery choose the image.
3.get the error “error while adding image”

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The image should come and give option for “to front” or “to back”.

What exact version of the app are you using?
1.5.7
On what Android version?
Jelly bean 4.3 MIUI v5 custom rom
On what exact phone model?
Xiaomi Redmi 1S
