Changes

  • I have removed the now deprecated Probot stale app from Org (it was configured for only tldr repo).
  • I have removed the Travis CI app from Org as we have fully migrated to GitHub actions as mentioned in Consider moving to GitHub Actions #4097.
  • I have removed the Codacy Production app from Org (configured for extldr repo only) along with the webhook as we no longer use it (since it doesn't work).

Post-change

There won't be any installed apps in Org.

Minor incident

Today we tried setting up probot reminders for PRs and issues so we added it to org but briefly after adding it we realized it doesn't work as the Heroku application has gone offline. I immediately removed it from Org.

Do we have replaced the stale-bot with a working one?

Do we have replaced the stale-bot with a working one?

We used to have GitHub's official stale action in CI (which superseded this one in this issue [we forgot to remove the app😅]) but it always used to close major issues and PRs. We were manually required to label PRs and issues for the stale bot to not close.

Many contributors voiced their frustrations and oftentimes its labels cluttered the feed so after multiple discussions in the chatroom and on issues we collectively decided to drop the stale action across all repositories in the Org and I performed the change in a series of PRs like #10409.

So, the state bot wouldn't be returning in the near future.
