iisnode-full-iis7-v0.2.1-x64.msi keep asking for Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x64) #243
Comments
I have the same problem on both Windows 2008 R2 64bit and Windows 8 32bit system. |
I have the same issue on Windows 7 |
This is an issue in the iisnode MSI whereby it incorrectly checks for the version of VC++ 2012 redist installed on the machine. VC++ 2012 redist recently released an update that fails the check iisnode MSI implements. While I work on the proper fix for the issue, the workaround is to install a previous version of VC++ 2012 redist. The x64 version is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?0y7gcd3uljjrecy, and the x86 version is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?ingc0rvfp7uwbys |
Any prognosis yet on the real fix for this thing? I just don't like the feel of that 'workaround'... Thanks, |
I will try to get a fix out this week. The fix will most likely be to include the required parts of VC++ 2012 redist within the iisnode MSI, such that no prior VC redist installation will be required. |
That would be great... Thanks much. |
I tried to download from that link but NOD 32 gave me an alert: ESET NOD32 Antivirus - Alert Details: Description: |
The fix has shipped as part of iisnode v0.2.2 available at https://github.com/WindowsAzure/iisnode/downloads |
It seems to have installed ok - We'll give it a shot. |
Thank you! I can install it with no issue! |
Hi,
I am trying to install the iis node using iisnode-full-iis7-v0.2.1-x64.msi on Windows Server 2008 R2, but it keeps asking for Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Package (x64) even though I have installed both the Visual C++ 2012 redistributable package 64 and 86 versions. Any advice to solve this issue?
Thank you,
Best Regards,
Ronald Wisnu Hariyanto
