I do realize that mine is a newbie question, and I hope "discussion" is the right place where to ask.
I looked around for a program to handle the hundreds of docs, bills and invoices I have and I like the idea of paperless and paperless-ng. I also realize that my questions come more from the bookkeeping world.
The way I would like to start my journey to control my paper chaos (if you see world's entropy increasing rapidly well you can definitely bet it's my house) is to have an engine process all the documents to have them scanned and then organize them together.
Hence the questions:
is there a way to link documents? For instance I have several payments requests against one payment document received.
may we have data attached to documents? An invoice or payments tickets might have the amount and the date beyond a tag on the type of expense, the card used to pay it, the supermarket chain that benefit from my money etc etc In this way for instance I may quickly do the sum of how much I spent at Tesco between Sept 2020 and Jan 2021.
Also with API I can quickly check that the bank records match indeed with the expenses records in paperless.
I hope my points are of interest to the people's project and thanks for reading me,
