Big Sur - Experimental Testing #174
Comments
Awesome will look into it soon. How long do you have it running now? Is it stable? |
My latest commits fix WiFi and Bluetooth. It's very stable (as stable as it'll be on a Mac), but I've switched OSs for the time being since I'm getting crazy coil whine - which is probably due to how OSX handles PM (are you getting any?). In the brief 2 days that I was using big sur, it ran pretty smoothly |
Well I'm new to OC and am not able to get it working at the moment on my XPS9360. I do however use the Intel HD620 instead of the Iris. Will try it again soon. |
I'm not sure about the differences between the Iris and non-iris Kaby Lake, but if I were to suspect it'd have something to do with the Graphics (you may have to reconfigure the WhateverGreen properties). Drop some logs, and maybe I can take a look. Not too much of a Hackintosh expert, but I'll try my best to figure out what's going on! |
how fix wifi ? dw1560 ? |
opencore-2020-07-12-234806.txt Yes ofcourse here is the log. Here I tried some changes on your config. However when I try your config I get this error. |
Doesnt look like an error, did you let it run for 30-40 mins? |
I did have to wait a bit longer. Still I'm unable to see any SATA drives... Only external SSD's and USB's shows up when using the installer. |
oh? can you speak chinese? |
可以,请找到附件我的更新配置。 |
hi 你的OC是什么版本的? |
got a problem related to camera
this camera works only first time wake up , otherwise , it blacked and not worked. |
0.6.3, 最新的版本。 |
I have it working perfectly with your OC files.. just webcam not showing up... you found any fix? |
I managed to get a running config of Big Sur on my XPS 13 (EFI and Config here: My EFI)
Basically all I did was update OC + OpenRuntime.efi, update some kexts, and add
-disablegfxfirmware vsmcgen=1 -lilubetaall
toboot-args
Everything works, except WiFi, which I have no idea why not (haven't taken a look at the kernel logs yet, but the kext is loaded :/)
Do note that these files are based off @hoanX's (since I use the Iris 9360), but I believe it's based on this repo so it should work in the end (I hope). If anybody wants to test, and get rid of that wifi bug, we may have a fully working Big Sur hack!
Also, thanks @the-darkvoid for the nice documentation/configs for the 9360, has made things a breeze!
