You are absolutely correct that there hasn't been a release in quite a while,
and 0.119 is gonna take as long as its gonna take.

I'm sure @agnostic-apollo can elaborate on some of the details but there's a lot of uncommitted work and pending PRs that need to be staged before a new release can be made.

We don't currently have enough developers working on the main App to be able to do releases at a faster pace, and this has compounded into a glut of pending PRs.

0.119 will happen when it's good and ready.
In the meantime 0.118 is a close to feature complete terminal emulator as is,
and package updates are done separately.
The situation is not ideal, but we're doing what we can within our means.

For those who is poking around there and begs for new release:

If you want new releases on a regular basis, with development being done publicly, then please collaborate. Build a new maintainer team for https://github.com/termux/termux-app and work on.

Right now all of work for termux-app repo is done by single person and a lot of stuff needs to be completed before release.

Each update is a hard work and lots of spent personal free time. That's not about clicking "merge" button or making "git push". You may see lots of commits since the last release, but this does not determine whether planned-for-release work is done or not.
