Hi all,
With #936 I have merged in support for TeXLive 2022.0 to the main branch. This update bumps the XeTeX engine format version to 33.
There are only extremely modest changes to the engine implementations compared to TL2021.3. However, this new version will start picking up the updated TeXLive 2022.0 bundle, which will include a bunch changes to the packages and classes. In particular, for those of you trying to use
biber
with Tectonic, this update containsbiblatex.sty
version 3.17 which implements version 3.8 of the biblatex control file format. To start using the new bundle with aTectonic.toml
document, you'll need to manually update thebundle
field to:(You can actually do this without installing the latest version of Tectonic and things will probably work, since the engine code updates were so minor this time around, but I don't recommend it.)
I intend to make official releases of this new code soon, but if anyone has the chance to test out the update and check for any issues, that would be most welcome!
