I looked into doing this using akavache but it seems the CacheEntry class can't be deserialized, in particular the VariantId property: https://github.com/tavis-software/Tavis.HttpCache/blob/master/src/HttpCache/CacheEntry.cs#L36

That could probably be changed to a string, if that helps.

I don't think Guid or string would make much difference. The problem is that the property is read-only ;)
