What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Dialing a phone number

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the default lock activates in a few seconds maybe 2 seconds.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
android 2.2

Please provide any additional information below.
would like the lock not to appear when I initiate a call.

Any time I'm on a call for a few seconds, I find my phone has been locked and 
requires a long press on "Back" or "Camera" to unlock. Especially annoying when 
voicemail asks to use the on-screen dial-pad. Can this be disabled somehow?

I'm using Android 2.3.6.
