Migrating the Hackerspace server #1
Comments
We all have been insanely busy :) But we should get back to that idea. When can I come to the hackerspace so we do some real stuff with a keyboard rather than with the mouth? |
I am in! I would like to know how to build a server on RPi2. Shall we hold a meeting or hackathon event someday? BTW, I am working on this project called FabDoc which would help every makers to archive, share and even fork their project. Maybe our website can try this idea. |
I'd be happy to help with this if it's still a plan |
I was checking out what could be good choice for this, and here's one possible setup:

Update: I've just placed an order for an Olimex LIME2 board, as it seems to be the same hardware as the MICRO, but with Gigabit Ethernet. That should be handy! Let's see when it will get here. One case that can be printed for it is this one from Thingiverse, but possibly we want to design something different to be able to hold a harddrive as this laser cut enclosure. Anyway, this is exiting, let's see how things will work 🎱 |
Have started a long time ago to migrate our web server hosting the taipeihack.org site onto a more powerful hardware (even if just relatively more powerful).
I have a Raspberryi Pi 2 that I want to dedicate to this cause, and discussed with people to do help out with the migration and the maintenance afterward.
This has been delayed, but want to do that before long. The migration would give use faster services (wiki, blog, etc) and hopefully be beneficial.
