If you did the make install (from packages/protocol) - currently smart contract verification for L1 is commented out - you can then do the:

• deploy xERC20 (same as in revm repo's https://github.com/taikoxyz/revm/blob/gwyneth-debug-shit/bins/revm-test/contracts/ERC20.sol ) both on L2A and L2B
• verify those contracts so easier to see in the explorer
• fire away an xTransfer()

with the script ./scripts/deploy_and_xtransfer.sh (from packages/protocol directory, right after make install started the rbuilder)

Currently it fails with Awaiting internal transactions for reason, but you will be able to see it in the explorer - maybe the logs in EL or rbuilder gives more insights, but currently this is where i am at.
