What is the problem you are trying to solve with this feature?
I'd like to recommend a new default field similar to make/model/serial which is for a URL if a website. Adding a custom field to each item is possible, and I like how a url become a field in this area, but typing "Website" as a custom field over and over gets old.
What is the solution you are proposing?
Adding a default field of URL or Website
What alternatives have you considered?
See above. An alternative exists but the request was put out for enhancement only.

Curious how you're using website sorry - Is this for the purchase site, or something different? 😄
Good evening!
Exactly, where it was purchased from or a link to a site relevant. For example, my movie collection linking to IMDb or Amazon/Walmart/etc where it was bought from.
My wife runs a business and asked if I could incorporate her business inventory in it with what she rents/sells, so she knows what # of what she has. The URL could be used to directly link to the site where it's sold if inventory is low, and can be tied to the other request of low inventory, issue #219.
