Resending base information after a group code has been inserted always fails

1. Fill base information
2. Include group code
3. Save
4. Go back to base information
5. Modify data
6. Save - errors, since we're unnecessarily attempting to assign the test instance to the group code again

We should lock the group code input after it has been successfully saved, and not attempt the assignment again
