FExtremism

Google Chrome extension for the efficient filtration and flagging of webpages on social media containing violent extremist propaganda.

Algorithm uses composite parameters:

  1. Semantic Analysis - word2vec token clustering
  2. Tone Analysis - through the IBM Watson API
  3. Image Filtering - classifying violent imagery and propaganda symbolism
  4. Source Verification - identification and checking of URLs against a list of verified sources.

This project was built at AngelHack Dubai and won a $500 prize sponsored by the GovTech alliance.
