Zoom Windows Renoise works with version 3.2; fails versions < 3.2 #928
Comments
Huh the background zoomed as it should but the controls did not. This is surge with a 150% bg and 100% slider image. Haven’t seen that before. Can you answer a couple of questions?
Honestly the thing we are missing the most is “a windows developer to help us debug zoom problems in various hosts”. I’m taking a couple of week break from dev but can look at this in July most likely if I can get renoise for free. But with other hosts (cakewalk especially) we just disabled zoom. |

Hi OK I have just taken a look at this and can reproduce it. I'm not sure why it is happening. But there is a workaround. The problem is the controls layout incorrectly the first time only. So if you 'kick' the zoom it will layout properly. This is not a fix but if you are using the plug you can enable keyboard access then press '+' or '-' to jog the zoom and get a correct layout I am not sure why layout 0 is wrong. I suspect that something is happening in a different order in renoise than in our other hosts. I'll try and debug for 1.6.2 |
Hello, today Renoise was updated to version 3.2 with HiDPI support and now Surge's zoom work almost perfectly, so problem is resolved. Please try to confirm. |
Oh ha! I debugged a day too early :) Thanks I’ll try it out. Really appreciated. |
Yeah I also confirm that renoise 3.2 works with no problem with surge zooming. Thank you for pointing that out! I'm going to close this issue (and will update the subject in case others come along) |
updated by @baconpaul - this problem is resolved by upgrading to renoise 3.2, as reported by @herodotas below.
