Bug Description:
Every time I close then re-open an instance of Surge XT, the size of the window increases.

Surge XT Version
Version: Surge XT 1.2.0.cb11acd
Build: 2023-04-10 @ 13:12:17 on 'fv-az238-859/pipeline' with 'MSVC-19.29.30148.0' using JUCE 6.1.6
System: Windows 64-bit VST3 on AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor
Host: Steinberg Cubase @ 48.0 kHz / Process block size: 32 samples

Above was copy-pastaed from Surge XT's version info.

Additionally: I'm running Cubase 12 on Windows 10.

Reproduction Steps:
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. In Cubase, select an instrument track containing an instance of Surge XT
  2. In the inspector on the left-hand side, click 'edit instrument' to re-open the instance of Surge XT
  3. Exit the instance, and re-open it, it should be zoomed in larger than last time.
  4. Repeat until it covers an area larger than your desktop resolution.

Expected Behavior:
I expected the window to be the same size as last time, not bigger.

I'm holding off on the screenshots because... it's the same thing. But bigger. I'm also not sure about the possibility it's just my DAW, I feel like I would've been able to find a previously reported closed issue at least mentioning it. None of my other VST3 plugins exhibit this sort of behavior.

So it is, I should've performed a search from the Steinberg forums instead of only googling it.

And I double checked to make sure this is the exact issue I'm getting--it is. My Cubase setting is -25% and my Windows dpi is set to 125%
