Hello, I just recently downloaded Surge in hopes to use it for my LMMS DAW running on a MacOS laptop. I am able to download it, but am unable to open and actually use it. I have a Macbook Pro Retina 15 inch, late 2013 Big Sur Version 11.6 laptop, is this compatible with your product, if so, how do I download it for Macbook. Thanks in advanced!!

Lmms doesn’t support vst3 or au. Surge isn’t available as a vst2. Therefore surge can’t work in lmms. If you try another daw such as reaper or garage band it should work. If that isn’t the case please reopen this issue

I have friends who have LMMS and use Surge, I have seen it on their DAW, along with other vsts, the only difference is that they have Windows and I have Mac. I'm thinking maybe since I have a Mac I'm not downloading it correctly or maybe Mac doesn't support vsts ? Is there a reference video that I can watch that shows how to download and use Surge on Mac. I do have Garageband, but the problem still remains, that I can't even install Surge on my laptop, let alone LMMS, thanks again for your help !!

Surge 16 was a vst2
Surge 19 isn’t signed, if you go to our YouTube channel we show how to deal with that.
But download the installer and run it and you’ll get surge.
you may then need to do this https://youtu.be/AHoTH-OWGnA
