That is frustrating. This can happen if the spell checker server has gotten stuck. The most likely cause is an expensive regular expression. Would you be able to share some information about your configuration?
Something to try: If you quick VS Code and restart, does it start working? Kind regards, |

Hi Jason, Thank you for your fast reply. It is frustrating, indeed. On your questions:
The only change I've made was the language - from en to en-GB in the Settings I found though two folders with cspell.json file contents in 13.0 is: If I can do anything else, please let me know. Thank you. |

I spotted a few more things that I hope might help.
Same duplicate in Default Keybindings cspell related in settings.json. I suppose GB is my change |

Quitting VSCode goes smoothly - nothing noticeable. When there is an update, it is installed. |

Sometimes VS Code fails to install the extension correctly. See #1676. Please uninstall the extension and then delete the extension files:

Here are the tests:
In the existing file the behaviour is as before - endless loop - regardless of whether it is a comment or not. And here is the Debug output. It updates after each action in the editor. (I mean typing, copy-paste, etc) Log |

It seems like the spell checker is not the issue, but let's verify anyway. In a new file:
The spell checker uses the same code to generate the list for the drop down select menu and for the Quick Fix menu. If it is working for one, but not the other, then something else might be going on. |

Hmm... Used the moment to clean all unused extensions, themes, etc. Deleted their folders from the disk, reloaded the app a few times and voilà - Ctrl+. works immediately! So at the end of the day, it turned out to be some collision with another extension. Thank you for your patience and help! |

Hello,
I faced a problem with making QuickFix show any suggestion. Neither Ctrl+. nor QuickFix command ever end finding something. Just a ribbon is moving left to right (in the red rect below). Any hints on how to fix this? Thank you.
