I didn't know about Checkout and Elements until Jake told me about them.

Advantages of using them are:

  • It's clear to the users that we are using Stripe (and thus the credit card information is secured)
  • Should there be any security issues, it'll be fixed faster (and automatically) with Checkout/Elements (super unlikely, but security is a different monster)
  • The look and feel (advantage or disadvantange)
